Emery knows Villa are weak away from home, so they will be in trouble before the Champions League’s last 16 teams

Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery knows he has weaknesses away from home this season and has done his homework to make the best of their Champions League last-16 first leg against Club Brugge (March 4).

Villa have lost nine of their last 12 away games in all competitions (W2 D1), Emery and in Belgium they lost 0-1 to Club Brugge in the league phase, which has worried Villa fans.

The Spanish coach said that แทงบอล UFABET ราคาดีที่สุด ไม่มีขั้นต่ำ he had intensively trained his subordinates, learned from past mistakes, and improved them to be better than before because everyone in the organization already had enough experience in the Champions League.

“In away games in the Champions League, when we have possession, we have to find a way to use it to our fullest potential, to have the advantage that we want to do,” he told Villa TV.

“For this tournament, we won at Young Boys Bern, lost at Club Brugge, won at Leipzig and lost at Monaco – two wins, two losses, so it’s a good balance for this tournament.”

“The team can finish in the top 8 of the league phase, but this Tuesday’s game has to be better than ever.”

“We have to be stronger in terms of consistency than we were in Belgium or Monaco.”

“Hopefully we can feel strong, comfortable in Tuesday’s game, try to dig into our potential and compete with our opponents.”
